Driver Document Verification Policy
Effective Date: 10/03/2026
This Driver Document Verification Policy outlines the requirements and procedures for verifying the identity, eligibility, and vehicle details of driver partners who wish to provide transportation services through the Namma Electric Platform (“Platform”).
The Platform is operated by Modi Enterprises (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
Document verification helps ensure safety, legal compliance, and service quality for all users of the Platform.
1. Purpose of Document Verification
Driver document verification is conducted to:
• confirm the identity of driver partners
• verify legal authorization to operate a vehicle
• ensure compliance with transport regulations
• validate vehicle ownership and safety compliance
• facilitate secure payment settlements
Only drivers who successfully complete the verification process will be permitted to accept ride requests on the Platform.
2. Personal Documents
Driver applicants must upload valid and legible copies of the following personal documents during the registration process:
• Aadhaar Card (or other valid government-issued identity proof)
• Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card
• Valid Driving License
• Recent profile photograph of the driver
These documents are used to verify identity, eligibility to drive, and regulatory compliance.
Drivers must ensure that all documents submitted are authentic, valid, and not expired.
3. Vehicle Documents
Drivers must also provide documentation related to the vehicle that will be used for providing transportation services through the Platform.
Required vehicle documents may include:
• Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
• Valid Motor Vehicle Insurance
• Fitness Certificate (where applicable)
• Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate
The vehicle must comply with all applicable transport and safety regulations before it is approved for use on the Platform.
4. Banking Documents
To enable payment settlements for completed rides, driver partners must provide accurate banking details.
Required banking documents may include:
• Bank account details in the driver’s name
• IFSC code of the bank branch
• Cancelled cheque or bank proof document
These details are used to transfer digital ride earnings or settlements to the driver’s account.
Drivers are responsible for ensuring that the provided banking information is accurate and updated.
5. Document Review and Verification Process
Once documents are submitted, the Company may review and verify them through internal verification procedures or authorized verification partners.
During this process:
• documents may be checked for authenticity and validity
• additional information or clarification may be requested
• background or regulatory checks may be conducted where required
Driver accounts will only be activated after successful document verification.
If documents are incomplete, invalid, or unclear, the driver may be asked to resubmit the required information.
6. Reverification and Document Updates
Driver partners are responsible for ensuring that their documents remain valid at all times.
Drivers may be required to:
• update documents before expiry
• submit renewed licenses, insurance, or certificates
• reverify identity if requested by the Platform
Failure to maintain valid documentation may result in temporary suspension of the driver’s account until updated documents are submitted.
7. Submission of False or Misleading Information
Submitting false, forged, or misleading documents is strictly prohibited.
If the Company determines that a driver has submitted fraudulent documents or misrepresented information:
• the driver’s account may be immediately suspended or permanently terminated
• access to the Platform may be revoked
• the matter may be reported to relevant authorities where required
8. Data Protection and Privacy
All documents submitted during the verification process will be handled in accordance with the Platform’s Privacy Policy.
The Company will implement reasonable security measures to protect personal and financial information provided by driver partners.
Documents will only be used for verification, regulatory compliance, and operational purposes.
9. Activation of Driver Account
Driver partners will be allowed to receive ride requests only after:
• all required documents are submitted
• verification is successfully completed
• the driver account is formally approved by the Platform
Until the verification process is complete, the driver account may remain inactive or restricted.
10. Policy Updates
The Company reserves the right to update or modify this Driver Document Verification Policy to reflect changes in regulatory requirements, safety standards, or platform operations.
Updated policies will be published on the Platform with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
